John Arnold III decided to follow in his father’s footsteps in high school, working during high school and college breaks for his father’s business with the carpentry, drywall, painting, and labor crews. John started working full time for John A. Arnold, Inc. in 1978, learning the estimating, purchasing, project management, and supervision ends of the business.
In 1986, upon his father’s death, John became President of the company and took on the additional role of managing the overall operation of the company, with his brother, Jim Arnold. John’s natural ability for working with customers & all associated people and his prompt response are assets in the company’s decades of continuous customer relationships. John has a degree in Building Construction from Texas A&M University but credits his knowledge in business and interior commercial construction to his father, the years with his brother through the up and down construction cycles, the longtime employees and all the mentors he has been fortunate to work with through the years.
He believes that if you take care of the jobs and people, from top to bottom, the company’s continuing success will take care of itself. He also continues in passing along what knowledge and wisdom, he’s picked up, to the younger and new ones in this field of work.
